So I'm officially addicted to Polyvore. This has its positive and negative points. On the negative side, there are probably many more productive ways that I could spend my time. However, on the positive side, I can't remember any of those things. Also, this is a great way for me to get to plan lots of imaginary weddings, hence not bugging/pressuring boy.
Apparently wedding talk makes boy nervous. Who would have guessed?
At any rate, here's another inspiration: (Clickity the big picture for lots of photo credits and links to buy the pretty things.)
This merits an explanation.
I am currently re-reading The Lord of the Rings, which I read when I was younger and did not really have the full literary capacity to enjoy it as much as it deserves. So I have a rediscovered appreciation for Pip and Merrycat (the adorable kitties of our recently-married friends. See the bride's blog for more info) as well as all things Middle Earth. I am incredibly geeky, but not enough for a theme wedding. I just feel like while it would be very cool for that one night, and maybe even for a few years afterwards, I am not sure about ten or fifty years down the road. I also don't want to have to explain to my grandchildren that Mommy had a thing for Orlando Bloom.
It would be inappropriate, I think.
Then again, a wedding is about the couple, and who the hell am I to judge if this is your thing? I won't deny that boy and I have a LOTR poster hanging in our home. If this kind of theme carries out into your life with a love of nature and old-fashioned values, then it seems like a great way to celebrate your love.

This is really beautiful! I'm seeing it as a winter wedding, or maybe autumn. Oh, and you would need to be taller.. ;)
Quite... unless it was a hobbit wedding. Although in that case we could have several meals instead of just one!
